Mining with Your Phone: Ways to Earn Crypto with Free Apps!

Yesterday morning, I looked at my phone and thought - can this little device be used not just for talking, but also to make money? It turns out it can! It is now possible to do crypto mining with your phone. Here, I am sharing my experiences and best practices with you.

There are special applications that can utilize the hardware of your phone to produce a certain hashrate and increase your chances of block mining. I have tried this and here are the best ones for you:

1. CryptoTab. One of the first applications with mining capabilities. I installed the app on my phone, started the mining function, and then the app automatically started BTC mining. It offers the option to invite friends, and if they accept, you can earn more. But to be honest, this "invite friends" system seemed a bit suspicious to me...

2. Application of a Popular Platform. A large crypto exchange's application offers cloud mining. Users can indirectly participate in mining by purchasing a specific hashrate and receiving rewards in their platform wallets. There is also an option to purchase cloud mining products for different durations, but the commissions can sometimes be excessively high!

3. StormGain. Another cloud mining app that allows you to do crypto mining with small tasks. It's praised for its user-friendly interface and secure storage of cryptocurrencies, but it requires a restart every 4 hours - which can be really frustrating.

4. NiceHash. This application allows you to manage mining setups and hashrate orders. The profitability calculator feature makes it preferred by both beginners and experienced users. NiceHash's high security is an advantage, but I still recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA).

5. Bitdeer. This application allows you to do some crypto mining. It also offers various pricing plans depending on your investment strategy.

Is it worth doing crypto mining with a phone?

Mobile mining has both advantages and disadvantages. Some believe that mobile crypto mining is not worth it due to the intense competition in the market, an average time commitment of 8 hours a day, and the risks of fraud.

I was excited at first but now I'm a bit doubtful. The phone hardware is wearing out quickly and the earnings are really low. Last week I mined for a full 18 hours and the amount I earned didn't even cover my coffee money!

However, technology is advancing. Developments in hardware, new cryptos and algorithms, and increasing interest in sustainability and environmentally friendly applications in blockchain networks may make mobile mining more efficient in the future.

My final thought: don't make hasty decisions, research thoroughly and dive in as much as possible. Monitor your battery life and data usage - your phone could turn into an oven and your data plan could run out!

Cryptocurrencies like Monero, Dogecoin, Vertcoin, and Ravencoin may be easier to mine on phones. Still, consider factors like the electricity cost in your area and the market value of the coin.

If you want to try, go ahead and test your luck! I am doing it not for the profits, but to learn the technology now.
