The USD, that damn currency we all love to hate, but cannot ignore. Who hasn't seen that symbol "$" dominating every corner of the financial market? As a Latin American, it boils my blood to see how this American paper dictates the course of our economies.
The gringo dollar is not only the currency of the United States, but also the whip with which the gringos strike half the world. It is the most widely used reserve currency globally, not because it is better, but because the empire has imposed it that way. Several countries have been forced to adopt it as their official currency or give it a fixed exchange rate, subjecting their economies to the whims of a foreign country.
And who controls this tool of economic domination? The all-powerful Federal Reserve, that private club that decides how many dollars to print and whom to favor. What a coincidence that it always seems to be the big banks that benefit! Meanwhile, we suffer the consequences of their decisions.
The ISO 4217 code for this currency is USD, letters that should mean "Ultimate System of Domination". Every time the dollar strengthens, our local currencies fall, and with them, the purchasing power of our salaries.
The real trap is that we all need it to operate in international markets. Even I, who detest the dependence it creates, have to use it for my cryptocurrency investments. It's a toxic relationship from which we cannot easily escape.
It's time to wake up and look for alternatives! The current financial system is a golden cage built to benefit a few. I refuse to be just another pawn in their game.
