Jack Ma and his company are launching to buy out Ethereum for €8.5 million
A financial firm from Hong Kong linked to the famous Jack Ma has just fully entered the crypto world. Yunfeng Financial bought 10,000 ETH. Value: about €8.5 million. They took the money from their own reserves 🏦.
They communicated it themselves to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It's not an isolated move. Back in July, they had already shown interest in Web3, tokenization, and digital currencies. Also in green assets and artificial intelligence. It seems they are serious about this mix of finance and technology 🔄.
ETH gains ground as major players accumulate 📈
Yunfeng sees potential in ETH for new financial services. Insurance, for example. They want to rely less on the traditional system. The purchase was made in the open market, commissions included 💰.
They will continue to monitor the market. And the regulations. It is not entirely clear if they will buy more. The council mentioned the typical risks: volatility, macroeconomic factors, regulatory changes... The usual in crypto.
They believe that ETH could give them advantages with their clients. Financial autonomy. Innovation. Other large institutions had already signed up for this strategy before 🌐.
ETHZilla, a publicly traded American company, also joins the party. They plan to invest €85 million in ETH through EtherFi, a staking protocol. They already have 102,246 ETH, which is about €387 million. They say that with EtherFi they will earn more than with normal staking 🚀.
Institutions Embrace Ethereum More and More 🌕
McAndrew Rudisill, the president of ETHZilla, sees it as a strategic evolution. Mike Silagadze, the CEO, speaks of growing institutional trust.
ETHZilla is simplifying structure. They canceled 1.3 million shares for €850,000. It seems they are looking for DeFi integrations ⚙️.
Yunfeng's purchases and ETHZilla's plans show something interesting: institutions want ETH. As a reserve and as a base for innovation. Yunfeng sees it within a plan that includes Web3 and tokenization. ETHZilla focuses more on DeFi and yields 💹.
There is also Ether Machine. Impressive. They have 495,400 ETH. They increased their reserves thanks to Jeffery Barnes, a guy who truly believes in Ethereum. They added 150,000 ETH more, giving them a value of €1.8 billion, plus €312 million in liquid assets 🔥.
All these institutions betting on ETH... The staking strategy, DeFi applications, tokenization... Everything points to Ethereum potentially leading the financial future 🚀.
Institutional demand is rising. ETH ETFs now exceed 11.1 million ETH, about €37 billion. Bitcoin remains the king in capitalization. Today it trades at €94,000, up 1.51% 📊.
